The Real Story of Alice in Wonderland

A student-led production

Down the Rabbit Hole and Into the Spotlight: A Dazzling Student-Led Wonderland Comes to Life!

Stepping through the looking glass has never been more magical! Our recent student-led production of ‘The Real Story of Alice in Wonderland,’ by Kristen Doherty, transported audiences into a whimsical world of imagination, colour, and creativity – and showcased the extraordinary talent and dedication of our Performing Arts students and staff.

From the moment the curtains rose, it was clear this was no ordinary school play. This year’s production was a shining example of what happens when passionate students and committed educators come together to bring a vision to life. With a full student production crew leading the charge, from lighting and sound to set design and stage management, the entire show was a celebration of student voice, initiative, and leadership.

The cast delivered a phenomenal performance, capturing the heart and humour of the classic tale with (a twist), emotion, and a whole lot of charm. Every role, from the curious “Nice” Alice, “outrageous “Mean” Alice, to the delightfully mad Hatter, was brought to life with impressive skill and confidence.

And then there were the costumes; vibrant and imaginative. Created with care and creativity, each piece added to the rich visual world of Wonderland.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the unwavering support and guidance of our  staff. Their dedication behind the scenes, mentoring students, fostering creativity, and championing excellence – helped turn this ambitious production into a spectacular reality.

This year’s The Real Story of Alice in Wonderland wasn’t just a performance, it was a celebration of the Performing Arts at our College: bold, empowering, and filled with heart. A standing ovation to everyone involved for reminding us all of the magic that happens when young women are given the stage, and the support to shine on it.

Every adventure requires a first step…
