Term 4: Letter from our Principal, Dr Ann Cleary
Welcome back to Term 4
St Clare’s College is an all-girls’ school,
for all girls.
Welcome to Term 4! I hope that your family was able to make the most of what was, overall, an extremely pleasant two weeks, whether at home, on the coast, up in the mountains or further afield. As we embark on the final chapter of our Year of
Transformation and 60th anniversary celebrations, I am very grateful for the energy and commitment that continue to define our community.
A highlight of last term was our College production, The Real Alice in Wonderland. What a triumph! My warmest congratulations go to the exceptionally talented students who brought this dream to life on stage. A special acknowledgment to the student-led production team, whose creativity, leadership and determination led to the success of this wonderful show. Both the production crew and actors embody the spirit of collaboration and excellence that we so proudly nurture at St Clare’s.
This term, we warmly invite our First Nations families to join us for a series of relaxed gatherings over a cuppa and conversation. These informal events provide a meaningful space for connection and partnership, as we continue strengthening the inclusiveness of our College community.
This final school term always brings mixed feelings. Our Year 12s begin their final weeks at the College, approaching their exams and celebrations with focus, determination and grace. We are incredibly proud of the young women they have become and look forward to honouring them at our upcoming Graduation Mass and Awards Ceremony. Our Year 11s are halfway through the election process for our 2026 College leaders. I am excited to work with next year’s elected Profile Captains, following in the esteemed footsteps of Evie and the 2025 team.
As always, I extend heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff for their continued professionalism and care for our students and each other. Their commitment ensures that each student feels supported and inspired to reach her potential. A timely reminder that World Teachers’ Day is celebrated here on Friday 31 October. Your daughter’s teachers would be thrilled to receive any notes of support from you. You can simply click on the teacher’s name on your daughter’s SEQTA timetable and you will have immediate access to their email address. Thank you for your continued support of our College and for entrusting us with the privilege of guiding your daughters in their education and formation. Warm regards,
Ann Cleary
