St Clare’s College had the privilege of welcoming Australian sporting legend, Liz Ellis AO, to the College this morning. Ellis, one of Australia’s most celebrated netballers and former captain of the national team, was in Canberra as part of netball’s campaign for inclusion in the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games.

During her visit, Ellis was interviewed on TODAY and took the time to meet with students and staff, sharing her insights on leadership, teamwork, and the future of women’s sport in Australia. Her presence was a source of inspiration for the College community, embodying the values of determination, excellence, and empowerment that St Clare’s strives to instill in its students.

Having Liz Ellis visit our College was an incredible opportunity for our students to see firsthand what passion and perseverance can achieve. She’s a true role model and advocate for women in sport.

The College extended its gratitude to The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Netball Australia, and St Clare’s staff for making the visit possible.

As a school deeply committed to promoting women’s sport, St Clare’s encourages its community to support netball’s Olympic dream.
