From St Clare’s to the Law: A Journey of Purpose, Courage and Possibility

Looking back on my journey since graduating from St Clare’s in December 2019, I am incredibly proud of how far I have come. What began as a young woman with big dreams has grown into a career in law, shaped by determination, resilience and the belief that anything is possible when you are willing to work for it.

After St Clare’s, I graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Politics and International Relations in March 2025. My studies challenged me intellectually while strengthening my passion for justice, advocacy and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

I was fortunate to gain practical experience working as a paralegal at the National Disability Insurance Agency during my university studies, where I developed a deeper understanding of the law’s impact on people and communities. I then completed my Practical Legal Training at the College of Law in October 2025 before reaching one of the most exciting milestones of my journey: being admitted as a lawyer in December 2025.

Today, I am proud to have begun the next chapter of my career as a Junior Lawyer at Sparke Helmore. While I am still learning every day, I have already discovered that success is not about having everything figured out. It is about being willing to learn, asking questions, backing yourself and continuing forward when things feel difficult.

To the students currently at St Clare’s: dream boldly. Do not be afraid to take opportunities that challenge you and never underestimate what you can achieve. Your path does not need to look like anyone else’s.

My all-girls education gave me confidence to speak up, leadership skills, strong friendships and, most importantly, the belief that women can take up space, pursue ambitious goals and support one another along the way.

I hope my journey is a reminder that the future is yours to create. Believe in yourself, work hard, stay curious and never be afraid to dream bigger.
